I visited the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial yesterday, still trying to figure out how to put into words the emotions I felt. Sometimes when you think things have fallen apart, they've really just come together. I got to visit the memorial with people who were dedicated to making that pilgrimage, hurricane or not. Absent of ceremony and media, I experienced the power of the memorial with people who had marched with the man himself.
